I have wanted to build a good fansite for The Rollers for many years.  Actually managing to have enough time to build up enough resources to fill one was a reason I never did but apart from that there was always one constant nagging in my mind which stopped me from going ahead with my plan.  I made a decision when I actually decided to build the site once and for all and I will explain it to you now.

The one thing stopping me building my Rollers site until now was that I never knew whether I should include any content about the not so great things that have cropped up in the lives of our lads.

There have been things said about them that aren't very nice, they have had court cases brought against them and things have happened to them which neither they or us really want to think about every day but these things did happen.

I wondered if I should build a complete fan site without any of these occurrences being mentioned.  It was an idea but something always nagged at me.

I knew that this wouldn't go down well with some fans dedicated to various members.  I struggled with this decision, I thought about it long and hard, over and over again.  In the end I could only come to one conclusion.

If I was going to build a comprehensive account of the lives and times of each Roller then I had to include everything, whether these things are the bits we want to recognise or not.  They are parts of their lives so they have to be included in their story.

If I did not include these things I would not be able to justify building the site when not being true and honest to what I believed in and what I wanted the site to be.

As of yet, I haven't gotten on all of my content or nearly a full account of any of the lads' lives but it will all take time.

I wanted to explain this in full so that I don't upset anyone or keep having to answer the question *Why have you put these things on a fansite?* over and over again.

I understand the question being asked by fans, I am a fan myself, this is why I have struggled for so long with whether or not to build the site.  I had to know myself that I was building one I truly believed in, one that was true to the facts.

If I was a fan, old or new and wanted to read about this band and each of its members, I would expect to find everything in the one place.  If I got a glossed over view of them all and then found out all of the other truths elsewhere I would feel let down.  This is what I didn't want to do to anyone else.

I hope you understand why I have included all of the content.  Most fans know these things anyway and are still fans so it won't shock or surprise anyone so I hope you will see why I feel their history should remain full and intact.
