Eric Faulkner
 

Eric Francis Faulkner.

Born:  21st October 1953 - Edinburgh

Guitarist, singer and songwriter

Taught as a child to play the viola and performed in a youth orchestra.

Also plays such diverse instruments as the mandalin, bass and keyboards.

Joined the Bay City Rollers in 1972.  Was previously in a band called KIP who were formerly known as Sugar.


Eric co-wrote many of The Rollers songs.

April 14th 1976, he hit the headlines for an alleged suicide attempt when he overdosed on sleeping pills.  The incident was reported to have been turned into a PR opportunity with Tam Paton allegedly calling the newspapers before he called an ambulance in to take care of Eric.

In the 1990s, Eric took up as lead singer with a reformed  Rollers as they made a comeback bid.  This version of the group included his one time wife, Kass Prosser.
He and Kass also toured with their band, The Eric Faulkner Co-Operative.

More recently, Eric has performed at Guilfest 2006 with 3 Men and Black, alongside Pauline Black of The Selector.  He also performed and supported
them on their 2006 concert tour.

Eric is still fighting alongside his fellow Rollers to attempt to gain the missing unpaid royalties from his time with the group.
