Click
below to see clips of Les at the gig. Not the greatest footage
ever but everyone around was bouncing, dancing and screaming which
doesn't make for the best recording environment, lol, plus, have you
ever tried recording video and dancing like a loony at the same
time? Not easy!! ;)

Shang - A - Lang
Thanks to Bennie Edwards for the use of his photo for this news
item. His were much better than my own, lol. These video
clips do not do the lads' performance justice, if you get a chance,
go and see the show, you will not be disappointed.
April 2010:
Just to draw attention to it
for anyone who may be interested, there is a group with an
associated petition now live on Facebook calling for Shang-A-Lang to
be released onto DVD. If you'd be interested in seeing this
happen and want to add your name to the petition, please

the group which you can join and follow the link to the petition

March 31st 2010:
Happy Birthday to Pat
McGlynn today from everyone here at We Love The Rollers :)
March 20th 2010:
I went to see the one and
only Mr. Eric Faulkner and his Rollers, Phil, Robin and David
tonight at a tiny Village Hall near Wakefield.
The venue may seem a bit odd and a bit
miniscule for someone of Eric's stature but the cosy setting kicked
up the atmosphere and they absolutely rocked the place!
I wondered how many Roller/Eric fans
would be in a place like this or would find a place like this to
travel to. Believe me, there were plenty, not sure the village
hall was made for things like that, it was a fantastic night.
Pics & Vids to follow.
March 19th 2010:
Happy Birthday to Derek
Longmuir. Hoping he has a great day.
March 12th 2010:
Fans of our fabulous Mr.

Some of our lovely Roller Friends who work really hard to keep the

Network to celebrate our lovely Eric.
Many friends, old and new and all
gathering there and having a great time together, give yourself a
treat and call in and
join us here. Fantastic job
girls! :)

August 12th 2009:
Calling all Roller Fans -
Need your help!!
I have been
speaking today with some people who are wanting to put together a
programme for the BBC which would be featured on the BBC One Show.
It would be part
of a series hoping to be called “I Was There!”
They want to make one of these shows about our lads and their very
loyal army of fans.
We are looking for
people to help out with the creation of this programme, the subject
is the Radio One Fun Day at Mallory Park on May 18th 1975
where BCR played on the island in the lake and the fans invaded the
lake to try and get to the lads.
Were you there?
Do you know someone who was? Do you have a story to tell about that
day? Did you make it through the lake to get to the lads
themselves?
If so, please get
in touch, we need your help to make this programme happen. If
you would like to get to tell your story on the BBC, please let us
know about it.
There is a limited
time to get all of this together so if you can get in touch or pass
this message to anyone and everyone you know who may have been
around at that time and may have been there, please do so as soon as
you can, it would be very much appreciated.
Let’s do what we
can to get something positive about our lads out there and show the
world that Rollermania is still alive and well and kicking in 2009.
If you have any
questions or would like to send your story in, please either get in
touch with me at:
andrea@welovetherollers.com
or with the guy
directly responsible for getting this show together:
Cris Warren at:
CWarren@iconfilms.co.uk
Thank you soooo
much, I know I can count on you guys to help get this done for the
lads!
J
PS.
If we don’t find
enough people from the Mallory Park gig, we may be interested in
hearing from anyone who’s first ever concert experience was a BCR
Gig. I am sure there are a ton of you guys out there who fit into
that category, lol.
Thanks again,
Andrea x
June 4th 2009:
Hi guys. I have
received a request. It has come to light that another musician
who has backed Ian Mitchell a couple of times in The Original Idols
Show is advertising himself as playing with The Bay City Rollers.
I know how much this upsets a lot of
people and it is actually false advertising, in an article
here Russ Broussard is said to have
played with many famous bands, including The Rollers.
Russ NEVER played with The Rollers, he backed Ian Mitchell only a
couple of times in The Original Idols Show and wasn't even part of
Ian's band, he was part of the band supplied by The Idols Show.
If you would like to make your feelings known about this and ask for
the wording of such things to be changed, the media contact e-mail
address is:
CashEdwards@austin.rr.com
Please don't bombard this address with angry, demanding e-mails, if
you feel strongly, let's let them know in a calm and considered
manner. I understand that people feel as if these guys are
making a living from the hard work of The Rollers but people will no
doubt be more willing to listen to reasonable requests rather than
highly strung, intense demands. If you feel that you need to
do this, let's make the lads proud!
May 6th 2009:
Just a quick one here to let you know
that Nobby Clark's album, On The Inside, can now be downloaded from
iTunes. The whole album can be bought and downloaded or
individual tracks as and when you would like them.
He told me that the album has been
received well which is great, go on, treat yourself to a copy today!
;) If you don't know about iTunes, there is a link to get
there from Nobby's site.

March 30th 2009:
Press Release
Bay City Rollers Strike First In Their Battle To Recover Unpaid
Royalties From Arista Records.
Ruling Supports Band's
Right To Claims for Millions in Unpaid Royalties
NEW YORK – Two years ago, the Bay
City Rollers filed a lawsuit against Arista Records, Inc., claiming
that Arista had failed to pay them millions of dollars in royalties
over an almost thirty-year period.
The suit, filed on behalf of the
Scottish band by Holland & Knight, alleges that Arista breached its
contract with the Rollers and failed to account for or pay any
royalties to the band for years, amounting to many millions of
dollars in unpaid royalties.
In response to that lawsuit, Arista filed a motion to dismiss all of
the Rollers' claims, asserting that the Rollers were barred from
recovery for the millions of dollars that they had generated for the
company. In its ruling, the court supported the Rollers' position,
with the result that the lawsuit will now go forward without any
meaningful impediment to the Rollers' claims.
"Although we are delighted, we are not surprised that the Court
denied Arista’s efforts to dismiss the Rollers' claims," said Josh
Krumholz of Holland & Knight, lead counsel for the Rollers. "This
ruling is a highly significant victory for the Rollers and their
efforts to recoup the millions owed to them by Arista Records in
unpaid royalties. We now look forward to recovering in full the
royalties that they have earned, but have been wrongly withheld from
them, together with the interest and damages that is due to them for
the many years that their money has been wrongfully withheld.
Good News Indeed!

Woody's Myspace Page seems to have disappeared. There is great
concern amongst the Myspace BCR Community. I have asked around
and I have also e-mailed to ask if everything ok. We hope all
is well Woody and we are thinking about you, hope there is a simple
reason for your page being out of action. If you are leaving
Myspace for your own reasons, we understand these things and wish
you well as long as we know that you are well and happy.
If I hear anything folks I will post and let you all know.
- It has come to our attention that
there are a couple of bands booking gigs in the US claiming to be
The Bay City Rollers. They are not claiming to be a tribute
act, they are booking venues as The Bay City Rollers.
You can see the website of one of them here
www.baycityrollers.biz, if you see
or hear of these guys anywhere near you making a living for
themselves claiming to be someone they are not and living off of the
name and reputation of our hard working lads, let someone know, tell
the venue that they are not who they are advertising themselves as.
I really don't know how they get away with this.
There is another one
called Bay City Rollermania who are booking themselves work claiming
to be former members of the band,
and/or former touring members of the band. At times,
all they have done is backed
Ian or Duncan, but are not original members of The Rollers or have
toured with The Rollers.
Just be careful everyone, if you see The Rollers booked to play
anywhere near you, just be sure that you are actually booking to see
who you want to see and not these people. Don't waste your
time or money!
Come on guys, no one wants to stop anyone making a living but do
it off of your own name and achievements, not someone else's!
October 21st 2008:
All the best Eric on your birthday, we send you our best wishes and
all of our love on your special day x x x

Thanks Nobby, very much appreciated. X

I just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely e-mails and
messages I have had about the site. Thankfully, they have all been
very positive, people seem to be enjoying it so I can breathe again
now ;)
Today I received another message from a special visitor who also let
me know that they were enjoying the site. Someone who is closer to
a Roller than any of us ever will be, lol. The message was from
Wendy-Ann Antanaitis, the wife of Ian
Mitchell.
Wendy was also very positive about the site, I am so glad that the
whole thing seems to have gone down so well, thank you all, thank
you Wendy. Your support is very much appreciated. I hope you all
continue to visit and enjoy what you see here. Remember, if anyone
has any content they would like to see here on the site, please let
me know or send me whatever it is and I will add all contributions
to help the site grow as much as possible.
